Will brings to Hurricane over 30 years of experience as an educator, curriculum designer, mediator, consultant, and Head of School. His focus has been working with teachers and students to design curriculum that connects classroom teaching and learning with community action, especially with regard to climate change mitigation strategies. He is eager to support others in bridging the Hurricane Island experience with local efforts to bring about sustainable, positive change in their communites.
Will’s academic and professional background includes a B.A. in History from Bowdoin, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Colgate, 3 years in the Peace Corps, Wayneflete, Mediation and Leadership consulting and helping found, teach and lead Watershed School for 20 years.
