Megan joined the Hurricane Island team in June of 2024, where she combines her passion for outdoor education with her expertise in program management. With a background in natural science education, Megan has designed and coordinated programs that connect people with the environment, foster curiosity, and promote sustainable practices. Her experience spans everything from planning 10 day backpacking trips for teens to managing logistics for outdoor education programs. She is excited to utilize her experience to support the Hurricane Island mission.
Megan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from New York University, where she cultivated her interest in sustainability and education. She has worked in diverse roles, including as a naturalist, trip leader, data analyst, program coordinator, and (briefly) ice cream deliverer. Outside of work, Megan enjoys reading, gardening, and crafting.
