Want to lend a hand and help us out on island? You don’t need to have any particular set of skills to participate, and there are activities for everyone!
6/30 - Educator Day
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the programs we offer through the Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership, as well as spend a fun day on the island!
7/09 - A Morning in Maine Science Sail
On this all-day sail, participants will learn about the ecology of Penobscot Bay with a focus on the aquaculture industry and tour the research facilities at Hurricane Island.
7/11-7/13 - Family Weekend
Fun for the whole family! This program is designed for families interested in exploring the island, with opportunities to learn about aquaculture, lobstering, island history, and coastal ecology. Optional programming will be interspersed with free time to swim, hike, and enjoy the island at your own pace.
8/09 - Farm & Sea Dinner
Join us for an exquisite Farm-to-Table Dinner on Hurricane Island. We celebrate the bounty of our aquaculture farms, beautiful gardens, the skill and artistry of scratch cooking, and the incredible scenery of Hurricane Island.
