Science Education Intern
Michelle is originally from Massachusetts, but has called Vermont home for the last four years. She graduated from the University of Vermont in May, where she earned her degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Conservation Biology and Biodiversity. Realizing her passion for experiential education has led her to pair her scientific background with opportunities to teach and mentor; she spent last fall working as a lab instructor for the natural history and field ecology course at UVM, and last spring as an educator for UVM’s Watershed Alliance. When Michelle is not working in one of these roles, you can find her hiking, swimming, rock climbing, or snowboarding (depending on the season, of course!). Michelle is excited to spend her summer on the coast of Maine as part of the Hurricane Island community!
