We are happy to host Deer Isle-Stonington High School students as part of their intro course to both the Marine Studies and the Arts Pathways on Hurricane Island again this year. The goal of Pathways 101 is to help students learn how to work both independently and in groups on projects of all kinds. This method of learning is far from the traditional "teacher-centered" classroom model and it often pushes students out of their comfort zone. During their time on Hurricane Island, the Pathways 101 students will work together through several activities designed to help them learn how to work as a group before getting the chance to work on a collective project that combines skills from both Marine and Arts Pathways.
