Cait Cleaver, Director of Science and Research, will be attending and presenting at the 20th International Pectinid Workshop in Galway City, Ireland. She will be presenting on the collaborative scallop project she has been coordinating for the past 3 years. Her oral presentation will be entitled, "The effect of small-scale closed areas on giant sea scallop populations in Maine" and her poster will focus on the collaborative project approach including lessons learned through working with a diverse group of fishermen, managers, and scientists. After Cait returns from Ireland, she will be giving a modified version of her presentation from the Pectinid Workshop at the Vinalhaven Land Trust on August 20th.
